Magical Roots - Week 44

~~~~~Sunday~~~~~
“Daddy’s going to be a famous writer, did you know that sweetheart?”
Hazel and Hawthorn will be spending the day skill building, of course.
Ginger, Ginger, how does your garden grow?
“Quite well, thank you.”
Lynn discovered his present and decided to share the first time with Grape.
Happy Birthday Hazel!
Virtuoso, Charismatic, Artistic, Ambitious
Latin, Sushi, Orange
~~~~~Monday~~~~~

“No no sweetheart, the B comes next.”

“Yay! Grandma’s guitar! And the PBD recolored it for me!”

WOOT! Lynn has lifted the Symphonic Restrictions!

“Once a Sim from the house becomes a Hit Movie Composer, they unleash their show “Stylish Eye for the Zombie Guy” on the world. The Sims of the region, seeing radiated zombies shambling around looking 10 times better than them, gain a renewed interest in appearances. The profits from the show are used to bring fresh supplies of cosmetics, hair care products, and stylish clothing to the region. “Fallout wear” becomes a new trend across the country. Once Sims have bought their new threads and gotten all gussied up, they are once again confident enough to organize social gatherings and show off their new looks. Even some members of the social elite decide to return. The Symphonic (Music) restrictions is lifted.”

  • Sims may brush their teeth, check themselves out, gussy up, admire themselves, and change their appearance.
  • Sims may purchase and use anything from the “Wardrobe” tab.
  • Sims my purchase and use the decorative perfume set and the decorative cosmetics set.
  • Sims may throw parties of any kind.
  • Sims may have group outings to any lot.

YES!!! Mirror time for everyone! Except Cliff, I like him fine how he is.

First up on the fashion block is Ginger. Clothing wise I mostly stuck with what she chose and just recolored it. I think this hairstyle suits her really well. I also gave her some slightly more practical sandals.

Next up, Hazel. Hazel has a really difficult face and body to work with. She’s just enough overweight that most of the formal wear looks horrible on her, and she has a rather round face that looks childish in most haircuts.

Hawthorn got the biggest makeover so far. His clothing was horrible! My sons chose the long hair, so don’t blame me that you can’t see his eyes anymore.

~~~~~Tuesday~~~~~
First thing in the morning, Hellebore got her complete makeover as well. Isn’t she adorable?
Lynn was finally able to quit his job and concentrate on his writing. He seems to be quite content.
Now that the stores are open again, being a toddler involves a lot more learning.
Ginger’s not wasting her last day of maternity leave!
Personally I think she can do better, but just in case, this is Benito Moses.
I changed my mind, he may be just what we need. He just told Cliff all about his nefarious plot.
~~~~~Wednesday~~~~~

FRAG!!! I see you hiding there. We were hit last week, go away.

Go Ginger! My hero!

“That chick is crazy, I’m outta here!”

Cliff’s ‘episodes’ aren’t as funny as Chamomile’s, but he’s still good for a laugh. I’m kinda wondering how much longer he’s going to last.

Then there are Cliff’s ‘saner’ moments.

You can see why I felt the family needed a study. It’s also the nicest of the used rooms. Lots and lots of jewels and diplomas in this room.

~~~~~Thursday~~~~~
Apparently ghosts like video games too!
Cliff always wakes up around two or three in the morning. Since he’s up, the house is clean, and he’s too sore to break space rocks, I figure he may as well spend some time with Ethan. They’re old friends, and Cliff will probably be joining him in the haunting soon enough anyway.
Timothy Vasquez is much more to my liking. He’s a vegetarian (always fun), absent minded, and a kleptomaniac. I swear she knows I’m looking for someone to become a Master Thief. That or she just has really bad taste in men. I think we’ll keep this one. He doesn’t seem as mean spirited as Benito, I think we’ll keep him.
Thatta girl! Snake strike for the kiss!
Cliff! I’ve been waiting for days for you to die, and you chose the exact moment when your granddaughter was getting her first kiss?! Way to ruin the mood.
Is it horrible that I love the grim reaper? Even worse, every single one of those sims walked right through Cliff on their way down here to grieve. Not very respectful of them.
See? It’s not sad, Cliff isn’t sad, in fact he looks down right happy.
Yes, I know, I’m horrible for taking advantage of the situation.
Cliff lived to be 99 years old. He was a sweet, crazy old man, who spent his later years playing with his grandchildren and ensuring the family’s continued wealth with his space rock breaking obsession. The citizens of the town will always remember him for restoring electricity to the town.
~~~~~Friday~~~~~

“Oh no! Tickle monster!”

Hellebore is definitely daddy’s little girl. Despite my best intentions Lynn has virtually no relationship with his eldest children, but he and Hellebore get along great.

The family’s poor relationships are bothering me. I think I may have them spend the weekend socializing. The only person who has a great relationship with everyone is Ginger.

And now for our first experiment in transfiguration…

How cool is that?!

~~~~~Saturday~~~~~
More family bonding today.
Hazel has her own ideas about socialization. Truthfully, she managed to become best friends with Hellebore already, and Hawthorn is still hogging Lynn, who’s a bit more difficult to befriend than a toddler.
I guess Hazel is just better at this than Hawthorn.
“I got a promotion! Finally!”
It took Lynn and Hawthorn more than twelve hours to become best friends. Sad, isn’t it? That leaves Hazel and Lynn, and Hawthorn and Hellebore for next week. The family got absolutely nothing done, but I’d say it was time well wasted.
I want to be able to start the heiress voting up, so I saved a copy of Hellebore to the sim bin and aged her up so that you guys could see what she’ll look like when she’s older. I’m planning on her traits being Athletic, Artistic, Genius, Computer Whiz. Let the voting begin!
Until Next Time, Happy Simming!
