I know, I know, but Ginger is 80 years old. She still has a mission to finish, but this is her final trip. I never let her see Hawthorn either, so she’s not being coldhearted, she just assumes he’s off doing his own thing. I kept it short anyway so we can get back to important things. I didn’t have much choice since Ben did most of the tomb raiding with me, and he’s not big on pausing for photos or blogging, not to mention it’s rather distracting explaining every single nuance of game play. At least his curiosity shows his intelligence.
~~~~~Day 1~~~~~
“I see you found the Ruby of Sakhara in Egypt as I told you you would. Quickly, place it in it’s place beneath the nectary.”
“So I just put the Ruby in here, right?”
Yup, and hey presto, there’s a keystone on the previously empty pedestal behind you.
You would not believe how angry I am at myself. After all my grumbling and moaning (trying to keep it T for teen, remember?) about wanting Pangu’s Axe, I forgot to put it in Ginger’s inventory. I was so frazzled from my previous play session that I forgot to pack the axe and Ginger’s tent. Doh!
I solved the tent problem by having Ginger quickly return to town, buy one, and then get her fanny back down here.
Without giving too much away, I can tell you that this tomb is much easier to explore if there are two or three people in the expedition.
~~~~~Day 2~~~~~
Those things were heavy and had be hauled down a long corridor, but they opened two hidden doors!
“There’s a cute little apartment down here!”
Hmm, maybe it wasn’t meant to be a tomb, but a fallout shelter?
“May as well help myself…yummy…hic!”
The hidden apartment had a bed, so at least Ginger will sleep comfy tonight.
~~~~~Day 3~~~~~
“Jean Necteaux must have been obsessed with the Egyptians.”
I’m more concerned about the fact that I only opted for a 8 day trip.
Jean and his wife had a very pretty throne room.
It’s the end of Day 3, and the Sapphire is within sight, but can Ginger disable these traps? Of course she can, lol!
After reporting to Charlotte that we’d find the Sapphire, we’re told that she has no idea where the Emerald is, but some of the locals might, so it’s our job to find out what happened to it.
~~~~~Day 4~~~~~
Ginger needs to track down the third gem through rumors running around town. She’ll probably enjoy being let out of isolation.
As usual Edith Morel has the answer for us. Apparently Napolean Girard bought the necklace that the emerald was in years ago at auction.
“Sure you have the necklace, I like this nectar better anyway.”
All right, we have the final gem, let’s hope this opens the old man’s tomb.
At last, the finest nectar recipe ever awaits behind these doors.
Ginger, Ben (middle son) and I explored Necteaux’s tomb until midnight, at which point Ginger insisted on a sleep break. Ben wants to know if he can sleep in Ginger’s tent, lol.
~~~~~Day 5~~~~~
What the bleep?! This could take a while… and Benji wants to see mummies.
Ginger, you really should know better than to pick things up off of pedestals near a sarcophagus.
Ginger’s not going to waste time waiting for the mummy to come fight her. He’ll probably catch up with her eventually, but in the meantime, there’s loot to gather!
I feel sorry for the mummy, he doesn’t stand a chance.
“You really want to try your luck buddy? Did you not see what happened to your friend?”
“Do you mind? The dust from your final death is getting in my nose!”
“Did you know you HAD mummies down there?”
“Had?”
“Well, yes, I took care of the problem. Oh, and here’s your Sapphire.”
Not bad, it took her five days to complete the tomb, and now we can go home to deal with the situation there.
~~~~~Until Next Time, Happy Simming~~~~~

I love the fact that your son plays with you. My cats just want to sit in my lap and demand my attention, lol.
Why does ginger sparkle?
I keep thinking she is dying.
I just finished reading your Knowlton Prosperity and loved it! I missed out on so much when I was playing SIms 2. (Being broke and on your own for the first time sucks.) I got so interested in the stories that my honey again threatened to cut off my Sim time. LOL! Many props to you on keeping all those stories and family lines straight! What are you going to do when this challenge is up?
