Week 32 - The Wait

Day 218 – Sunday

 

The kids are still restricted from learning anything that isn’t fun, so Jarod is learning cooking from the television and Catherine is playing chess. Brigitte is downstairs painting.

 

Chloe and Scott are writing, of course. I probably broke restrictions at the library, but I tried not to.

 

Jarod got bored with the television and decided to tinker with the washing machine. Please don’t break it.

 

Day 219 – Monday

 

It was a very boring day today. Chloe and Scott wrote at the library all day, the kids went to school, did their homework, and then worked on fun skills until suppertime followed shortly thereafter by bedtime.

 

Day 220 – Tuesday

 

They certainly do spread out all over the place, don’t they?

 

I do try to let Scott and Chloe have some couple time occasionally, not often, but occasionally.

 

Brigitte brought her cousin Rocio home with her today. She’s actually a double cousin because she’s a Smith-Jones. Her father Brian was Devin’s brother, and her mother Penny is Scott’s sister.

 

Day 221 – Wednesday

 

Cordelia is not pleased with the amount of technology the family has brought into the house. Unfortunately for Chloe, she seems to be the target for Cordelia’s “messages” from beyond the grave.

 

I’m starting to think that Scott is incapable of smiling.

 

Day 222 – Thursday

 

“Parents? Yeah, I think we have those. Those are the people at the library, right?”

Ok, it’s not quite that bad. Chloe does still do most of the cooking and she and Scott take turns with the laundry. They even occasionally find time for tag or catch, but most of the time it’s just the kids.

 

Day 223 – Friday

Day 224 – Saturday

 

I really need to make a list and go through my downloads with Simp3 and change what clothing is available for what ages/outfits. This isn’t so horrible, but remember Sarah’s workout outfit? That’s what Brigitte has decided to sleep in. That thing looks like something one of the Misfits would wear. Yes, I love classic 80’s cartoons. I love anime too, in fact, I’m thinking about making the naming scheme for the next apocalypse be anime.

 

Rochelle is another double cousin. Instead of listing it again though, I’ll just tell you that she’s Rocio’s sister.

 

Congrats Chloe! What do you want to do now?

“Write another masterpiece.”

Gah! They take forever!

 

Catherine and Jarod are not happy. They both want to work on their Charisma, but aren’t allowed. Poor teens. I miss the Wabbit. It is possible that they’ll bring it back in Generations, but doubtful since I haven’t seen it in any of the pics/videos.

 

Brigitte on the other hand is quite content whereas I am not. She’s obsessed with painting at the moment, and I kind of wanted her to start working on her guitar skills. Oh well.

 

I didn’t invite her, but I’m happy to see her. The bake sale table is awesome at attracting sims even when there’s nothing for sale.

 

We actually know all of Latricia’s traits, but not what her final one will be or her LTW. I know which career track I had planned on her pursuing, but I’m willing to go a different direction as long as it’s not something we’ve already done.

 

One of the things that I love about hooking sims up while they’re still teens is that all of the siblings are also able to become friends with the proposed spouse while at school. It would suck if they hated her. It would be more interesting, but you know me, I like fluff.

 

Next week should be more interesting since Jarod will become a Young Adult. Here’s hoping!

As I near the end of this apocalypse, I’m already thinking of the next one. Yes, I know, it doesn’t look so near to you guys yet, but I’ve also already written up to Week 36, and by the time this gets posted I should have finished writing Week 37. Anyway, I’m thinking for the next apocalypse of doing an alphabet anime naming scheme. I’ve already got my founder’s name picked out, but if you guys want to suggest male and female names for letters B-I that would rock. I’m not sure how many generations I’ll need, but I’m sure that I can finish in nine generations or less. Just post your name suggestions in the comments of this or any future post. Please nothing with any weird characters since I will have to type them again and again.
