Week 36 - I Can See Clearly Now

Day 246 – Sunday

ScreenshotJarod’s upgrading in the kitchen today. He’ll probably have plenty to upgrade well into his elder years.

Screenshot-2Hang your head in shame Jarod. A sim with nine handiness points should not get himself electrocuted.

Screenshot-3“Hmm, should he use bubble gum and a paper clip, or pantyhose and a battery?”

Screenshot-4Brigitte’s received a commission for a large painting from Chloe. Of course, Chloe will probably die before the painting is done, but we’ll do our best.

I was right about this, a few hours after Chloe commissioned the painting she passed away.

Screenshot-5“Can I stop upgrading things now?!”

No, but you don’t have to do them as often. Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could layer upgrades? Like a color change fireplace that was also fireproof and auto light?

Day 247 – Monday

Screenshot-6Jarod’s back on the renovation job. After all, it’s part of the sub-challenge.

Screenshot-7“Jarod help! This place is a dump!”

Cat wants a den, no problem. That blurry thing across the road is cousin Rain’s renovation by the way.

Screenshot-8If we’re lucky tomorrow may be Latricia’s final day in the film industry. I doubt it though, I think it may take until Wednesday.

Screenshot-9I’m actually surprised how well everybody’s been doing at work considering the amount of recent deaths in the family.

Day 248 – Tuesday

Screenshot-10Jarod needs fun and Jarod needs sculptures for his renovations. Easy solution, start messing around with clay.

Screenshot-11Oy! Jarod! No talking to the dead if you please!

Screenshot-12“I swear Stella, this place has more ghosts than the cemetery. They’re everywhere, and they’re here ALL the time!”

Screenshot-13You know, you might be less tired if you actually rested in your grave.

Screenshot-14Happy Birthday Jarod!
Charismatic, Excitable, Savvy Sculptor, Family-Oriented, Artistic
Classical, Lobster Thermidor, Black
Aries, Renowned VIP
Renaissance Sim

Screenshot-15We should have clear skies by the weekend!

Screenshot-16Here’s another one of Whitney’s children, Darren. She’d be so proud!

Day 249 – Wednesday

Screenshot-17I wonder if a sketch drawn by a ghost is worth more since the artist is dead.

Screenshot-18Scott’s working on his sculptures today. I’d like to see if he can unlock all of them.

Screenshot-19“I couldn’t have done it without all of the little people.”

THE DIRECTOR RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED!!!

  • Sims may attend parties thrown by resident townies.
  • Sims may watch TV any time of day or night, though channels are still restricted
  • Sims may discuss their favourite TV shows.
  • Sims may go to plays at the Theater, but not movies.
  • Sims may sign autographs or hold autograph sessions.
  • Sims may pursue celebrity status through pop up opportunities or challenges.
  • Sims may schmooze celebrity sims or try to impress them.
  • Sims may interact with the paparazzi
  • Sims may “draw attention” of the paparazzi.
  • Sims may purchase Complimentary Entertainment lifetime reward.

Your sim has become the next Francis Ford Simcopola. Their production of “Bridging the Apocalypse”, featuring an all star cast and a musical score that brought audiences to weep in their sleep has allowed sims the joy of movies and the theater once again. Some how, to see the struggles people had right after the apocalypse portrayed on the big screen with all the digital special effects and suspenseful screen writing brought it all home to them. As a culture they can move on with their collective lives.

Screenshot-20“I did it honey, you know what that means, right?”

Day 250 – Thursday

Screenshot-21Looks like last night’s attempt was successful!

Screenshot-22One metal sculpture Jarod, then I want you to go back to discovering sculptures in clay. It’s a shame that unlike inventions there’s nothing telling you what percentage of available sculptures your sim has discovered. Maybe it’s too random for that?

Screenshot-23As seen in one of the unfinished mansion rooms.

Screenshot-24Bloody sims with their dirty laundry everywhere.

Screenshot-25This is Latricia’s fourth attempt at upgrading this toilet. She’s bound to succeed at some point.

Day 251 – Friday

Screenshot-26Latricia has her eye on the future. Working on skills now for her future career in science should make her career path a bit less bumpy.

Screenshot-27She’s also been nagging me about mastering writing. 5000 points, I may as well cave in.

Screenshot-28Good, now hopefully I’ll be able to get her to obsess about a science related skill, or her children.

Screenshot-29THE SYMPHONIC RESTRICTIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED!!!

The skies are dark and packed with clouds
No more concerts, no more crowds
The land sleeps in a blanket of snow
Waiting for the start of the show
All that’s missing is the lead
For the land to wake and take heed
Blast Mother Nature’s eardrums out
Show grandfather winter what you’re about
Make the existence look and nod
To the emergence of the Symphonic God

  • Items may be placed outdoors.
  • Sims may not go on International Adventures because the weather is too rough to permit flight.
  • Gardening and Fishing are still restricted by The Amazing Naturalist
  • You may purchase or use Solar Panels or the Windmill
  • Wishes may be promised (I didn’t follow this restriction because I think Mikitta left this one in from the Sims 2 version by accident)
  • Sims may use telescopes

With a mighty chord and a mighty roar
The icy grasp of winter is no more

Screenshot-30I can’t believe this doesn’t disturb Cordelia.

Screenshot-31Bloody paparazzi scum.

Day 252 – Saturday

Screenshot-32I haven’t really started taking advantage of Symphonic yet. A small pool and I’ve moved a couple of things outdoors, but I’m waiting until Criminal Mastermind is lifted before I start cluttering the place up.

Screenshot-33“Oooh, what was in those cookies?”

Screenshot-34The ghosts are so common now that the family mostly ignores them.

Screenshot-35Welcome home Cole!

Screenshot-36“There’s a ghost in my bed!”

Unfortunately goldilocks can’t shoo him either.

Woo! Almost there girl! Loved the poem for symphonic. Welcome to the later years of the apocolypse Cole.
Picked up Generations last night. Spiral staircases are only 2×2! Nice tight and compact! Love it!
