I was faced with a tough decision this week. I pre-ordered Generations from EA and it came in on the 30th. I so wanted to play with it, but I love SP and MC. So, I’m being a good girl and not installing it until Twallan has time to update his mods. I don’t think I’ll have to wait long though since he seems anxious to get started on it.
Day 253 – Sunday
For those who’ve forgotten, at the end of last week Latricia gave birth to the first child of generation six, a son named Cole. At the moment Cole is just a non-glowing Glow-worm that needs to be fed, changed and snuggled a lot. So yeah, sim babies are boring.
Latricia is so lucky. First she gets to replace silent running with unbreakable, and then she gets to replace unbreakable with silent running. Hah!
Brigitte really wants to master logic before she leaves.
Sorry Brigitte, I lied. I just realized that telescopes were unlocked. I really want a meteor, I’ve never had one. Brigitte will continue to stargaze until she gets one or dies of old age.
Happy Birthday Latricia!

Day 254 – Monday
The next morning Brigitte is back at it. Latricia is taking a small skill-building break to tidy up all the laundry on the lot, and Jarod is working on sculptures again.
Then it’s time to spend a bit of time with her son.
Apparently collecting the deeds was too much for the laptop. Oh well, Latricia will fix it.
Poor Latricia, she’s pregnant again. Buck up honey, in about a week I’ll stop forcing you to be pregnant all the time.
I swear she knows what I have planned.
You still have to use the telescope. I have no idea if it actually increases the chances or not, but it keeps her outside, which apparently does increase the chances. Jarod also maximized his sculpting skills, but I forgot to get the shot.
Day 255 – Tuesday
Latricia is having a pretty bad pregnancy. She was up twice last night to puke, and the third time she got up to acknowledge that she was pregnant I gave up and had her go take care of Cole. I hope her next pregnancy is easier on her than this one is.
Happy Birthday Cole!

Anyone who has gone to the Exchange and downloaded this house will eventually notice that I’ve made extensive changes to the interior and will continue to do so. While the interior was beautifully decorated, it wasn’t done in a very practical manner. For instance, this room used to be split into a bathroom and a nursery with no toys. The bathroom had the exterior wall. It makes no sense whatsoever for the bathroom to benefit from the Beautiful Vista moodlet while the room had none because it didn’t have an exterior wall for window. I sacrificed the bathroom and now there’s a spacious playroom with an awesome moodlet. I’m making tons of these little changes as I go along, but I did love the exterior. I even loved the decor, it just didn’t make sense to have the nurseries all over the place and all of them too tiny to have more than one toy.
Day 256 – Wednesday
Jarod’s back in the nursery again today, this time to teach Cole how to walk. The reason Jarod is doing all of the teaching is that he’s family oriented, which means he’s better at teaching toddler skills than Latricia.
Brigitte’s already discovered two stars today. While I am hoping for a meteor strike, I’m not expecting one. I have yet to have one in all the time I’ve been playing, so it’s unlikely that just because I want one it will happen.
I’m not totally heartless, once Cole was totally trained I allowed his mother a visitation.
Day 257 – Thursday
Isn’t it odd to eat Mac & Cheese at 3 am?
“I’m rumbly in my tumbly.”
I told you a 3 am snack was a bad idea!
Don’t worry, Auntie’s coming for you to terrorize.
Mel decided to put in her appearance at 5:50 am.
The rest of the day was boring, hence no pictures.
Day 258 – Friday
“Do you ever wonder why the walls aren’t plastered with paintings? I mean I’ve painted a ton of them, but there are only a few on the walls. Where do they all go?”
“I adore my husband, he’s sooo dreamy!”
How can you tell when you can’t even see his face under all that hair?
Latricia is pregnant again already. Hey, don’t look at me like that, she’s got to get the child bearing out of the way before she can tackle science.
Family time in it’s own special way. I’m anxiously awaiting Twallan’s updates, ‘cause I so want to install Generations! However, the very thought of having to let EA’s Story Progression control my town leaves me nauseous. Last time I let it do that I ended up with a town full of elders with no new births for two generations. *shivers*
Day 259 – Saturday
It’s official folks. Today is the last day before I install Generations. Twallan is hard at work over at NRaas and has already updated several of the smaller mods. Once the family reaches an acceptable Save & Quit spot this evening, Generations is going in. Hopefully before Latricia has the baby. I’d really like a chance at an imaginary friend for at least one of the kids instead of having to wait to explore that with their children.
Don’t you just hate it when somebody just stands there and stares at you while you eat?
Latricia is primary caregiver until they become toddlers. She’s got enough skills now that she should have no problems with the early levels of science. I have to admit, it’s kinda of nice having a sim that has free time to spend with the children just because, and not because the children have needs that must be addressed.
This is pretty much how Brigitte and Jarod spent the week. The only real change was which paparazzi member it was taking photos of them.
